We did it!!!!

Week 11

I’ve downloaded Firefox and added Clipmarks so far… the choice is amazing, and temptation is big!!!! I have to be careful not to get carried away…So, without a pressure of deadlines, I can play and explore now… Did I write already how sorry I’m that I was too busy getting adjusted to the new department and my new duties to devote more time to our program?

Week 10

Games, games, games… where can we get all this time? Maybe, if I was less preoccupied with Facebook and messenging, I could spend more time playing… Sudoku, however, is a good one, especially for people at advanced age… hmm…  not to mention, my husband calls me no other as “Cybernut” since I spend all my evenings on computer too… Imagine where it leads if I get addicted to all other sites? And… excuse me, but IMVU is a bit too much… I feel silly being there… I did created my avatar, though, but didn’t succeed in downloading 3D Messenger because I was not allowed to do it at work, and I am really afraid to endanger my marriage life at home… Here’s my page though : http://www.imvu.com/catalog/web_mypage.php . I guess Kelly is my only contact there… I also plan on trying Second Life at the Wong Room, so I will blog my impressions about that later… Anyone knows where to find Scrabble on line, btw? I had one English site that I had a lot of fun with, but now they require an annual fee….

Week 9

Well, you know my experience with Facebook… it’s a lot of fun, and I even enalrged my circle of friends… but it’s so easy to get addicted… however, I will keep experimenting with security levels and different groups… I’ve also mentioned already some social networks in different languages, similar to Bebo, I guess? Oh, how I wish I did it steadily for the last 11 weeks…..

Week 8

Lots of great tools… and my sincere thanks for introducing us to them…I really enjoy LastFM, although, since my searches for artists are not traditional, the answers sometimes are very unexpected… I will definitely organize my books, and fotos, fotos, fotos!!!!!! I was especially glad to discover Meebo, being messenger addict as I am, but this is a great tool to connect to friends and family… What would I do without MSN when both my girls are far away and all my extended family is in the States? This way I can use both AIM and MSN… at home, of course!!!!!

Week 5

Did it all!!! Set an account in both del.icio.us. and Flikr!!! Added quite a few tags… I’m sure I will continue doing it, this is such a fun and convenient way to organize your favorite sites!!! I compared it with Google (where I used to search, of course, and bookmarked my pages..) but I find del.icio.us. much more fun and convenient. It’s all right there!!!

Week 3

Ok, I finally mastered PBWiki… actually, to create a page wasn’t such a difficult task, I stumbled a bit on a side bar, but mastered it as well… I’m ashamed… I should’ve done it much earlier and would’ve have a lot of fun… oh, well.

I also edited one page in WetPaint and added a new one… maybe not so successfully, because today I cannot find it… Amanda for the rescue?

Other networks…

Since everyone congregates around people with the same interests, I really enjoyed searching www.joinfriends.com and www.odnoklassniki.ru  . Both networks have links to schools, higher education institutions and work organisations around the world… Great place to connect with friends “lost” in the turmoil of immigration!!!!!

OK, re : Facebook…. I still didn’t manage to change my name… and since I keep acquiring new friends, I really don’t know if I should… but I wrote on my Wall (and on Walls of others), and even got a comment… I hope you didn’t see it… ok, ok, want to hear? It was like this : “You. are. a dork.  Get off Facebook”. Lovely, isn’t it? With friends like this who needs enemies???

Well, I know, I should be ashamed… The thruth is I’m not so far behind as it seems… I just don’t blog about it… so… I guess I have no other choice but to start… so….
